The Barn
Work on the renovation of our stone-built barn in upper Nidderdale has now been completed. It has long been a wonderful and atmospheric place for us to enjoy lazy weekend afternoons with the newspapers (and an occasional glass of something fine!), but the time has come to make better use of it as a building, and give others a chance to take in the magnificent views down the dale to Gouthwaite.
Our plan is to make use of this space by putting our pictures on display here during the summer months, adding to the existing attractions of the area such as How Stean Gorge and Middlesmoor village. The nearby Crown Hotel serves excellent lunches and we hope that, together with the prospect of a leisurely drive through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that surrounds us, you'll have all the reasons you need to take a day out in one of the less crowded dales.
